Compete Inc. has announced the results of an online survey and measuring the online demand for mobile handsets in the U.S., and has announced that LG Voyager was the most viewed mobile handset (online) by interested customers.
The sustained marketing efforts of companies using this festive spirit has resulted in an increase in demand for mobile phones said Compete in a press release.
Compete measured the number of times visitors who logged into major carrier websites during November looked for specifications of different phone models.
LG Voyager ranked first in the most viewed handset with 131 percent more visits compared to November last year. This is a result of the ad-campaign offered before the launch of the handset and the promotional efforts by LG after its launch.

Alert), which shows that it still holds interest even five months after its launch.
T-Mobile’s three models Sidekick Slide, Sidekick LX-Blue and Sidekick iD were all within first 10 in Compete’s list.
Comparison of last years demand for Smartphones with that of this year shows that there is an increase of 15 percent in interest shown between November 2006 and November 2007. This also indicates that more models of Smartphones were available this year and interest is distributed among these models.
Research In Motion (RIM) found four of its Blackberry models in the top 10 slots this year owing to the success of the Blackberry pearl. RIM is hoping to further market Blackberry, which is available from four major carriers, to more consumers by varying its colors.
