Foundation 9 Entertainment, an independent games developer in North America and Europe, has announced that it has released a record 60 titles this year. The company's studios have collectively created over 500 titles since its inception 13 years ago.
F9E's newest titles include The Golden Compass and Sonic Rivals 2, both published by SEGA, Godzilla Unleashed, published by Atari, Inc. and the handheld versions of The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, published by Sierra Entertainment.
"2007 was a record-setting year for us," said Chairman and CEO Jon Goldman. "Not only have we shipped more games this year than we ever have before, but we're also significantly investing in every aspect of our business, which will enable us to deliver many high quality games for years to come."
Ubiquitous on all gaming platforms from home consoles to handheld platforms to PC and downloadable titles, F9E's 2007 titles surpass all others with their presence on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PLAYSTATION Network. F9E is the industry leading developer of games based on large film and gaming licenses.
The year 2007 also marked F9E’s overseas expansion with the acquisition of Sumo Digital and its shift to new headquarters in Irvine, California. The industry-leading developer has studios in the San Francisco Bay Area, Vancouver, Boston, Irvine, Eugene, Kirkland, Austin, Sheffield, UK and Pune, India.
