New Dell XPS M1530: Thin, Sleek and Stylish

By Stefania Viscusi, TMCnet Assistant Editor

Building on the company's successful release of the XPS M1330 notebook earlier this year, Dell (News - Alert) has introduced the new XPS M1530.

Just in time for the holiday season, the new notebook is sleek and stylish and comes loaded with a number of premium features.

The 15.4 inch notebook answers to the increasing demand for thin notebooks with a starting weight of just fewer than six pounds and a 1-inch profile, and is available at a starting price of $999.

Commenting on the new offering, Alex Gruzen, Dell's senior vice president, consumer product group said in a statement to the press, "The enthusiastic reception of the XPS M1330 demonstrates that Dell's focus on design and performance resonates with customers seeking a premium notebook experience. We're building on that success by broadening the product line, and the XPS M1530 will bring the XPS experience to the most popular 15.4-inch widescreen market segment."

Aside from a rich mobile experience, the XPS M1530 also includes a built in webcam and fingerprint reader, as well as touch-sensitive multi-media buttons, and gives customers a choice of colors: Tuxedo Black, Crimson Red and Alpine White, among a number of other advanced and standard feature offerings.

The XPS M1530 also includes an optional Blu-ray disc drive and noise cancellation earbuds as well as a travel remote that stores away in the ExpressCard card slot.
