MobileDemand has announced the introduction of the rugged, high-performance xTablet C1200 convertible tablet which exclusively addresses the advanced connectivity and anytime/anywhere business applications access requirements of the always-mobile professionals. The new rugged xTablet C1200 with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional employs the powerful and high performing Intel (News - Alert) Core i5 520UM processor with Turbo Boost up to 1.86 GHz and Intel HM55 chipset with 2GB RAM standard and with up to 8GB of memory. It is also equipped with 64GB-256GB Solid State drive and optional shock mounted spinning drive. The WLAN and WWAN compatible xTablet C1200 also provides optional Bluetooth, GPS and Gobi 2000 radio for 3G communication features. TPM 1.2 technology, a fingerprint scanner and BIOS administrator password/boot password functionalities have also been implemented as safeguarding features. In addition, the easy to hold handle allows for easy portability as far as the mobile professionals are concerned.

The xTablet C1200’s keyboard, speakers, touchpad, wireless and power switches are of a special spill resistant design  and all its ports are dust resistant, thereby contributing to the life of the device. It is also capable of running continuously for 4 hours with its hot-swappable 6-cell Li-Ion battery. It also features a 1.3 mega-pixel camera and a set of optional accessories such as office dock, car adapter and vehicle dock.
