In a bid to bring even further convenience and functionality to mobile devices, Nuance (News - Alert) Communications Inc. has included speech capabilities that make it possible for mobile users to tell their phones what to do. The new Nuance Voice Control offering is available on Palm Centro Smart Devices and makes it far easier to access and operate mobile features.

 

Today, Nuance announced that they will offer a 30-day free trial of the mobile search and messaging service on the Palm Centro smart device from Sprint (News - Alert).

 

Thanks to Nuance's Voice Control Services, it is possible for users to interact with and control their mobile device using their voice and without the need to use the keyboard or stylus.

“Nuance Voice Control is particularly valuable for Centro customers utilizing the device’s email, text and instant messaging capabilities because it enhances our full QWERTY keyboard for text entry with the ability to simply dictate and send messages,”  also commented Rank.

 

 To use Nuance's Voice Control services, users need only press a button on the device and speak their request to unlock the full potential of the device’s Web and data capabilities.
