The T-Mobile ( News - Alert) Sidekick has become a popular device for its ability to keep the socially hip in touch and connected while on the go. Even some of Hollywood's hottest stars hail them as their favorite handheld communications device.
Last night, the latest edition from T-Mobile USA, Inc., the T-Mobile Sidekick LX made a dazzling debut complete with celebrities and Los Angeles tastemakers at an invitation-only launch event unlike many. Including modern décor, an on-site Farmers Market, on-site sketch artists, and more.
The event highlighted the sophisticated, luxury of the new Sidekick LX which includes new color options, a thinner, smoother profile-- in likeness to the size of a credit card, a larger high definition LCD swivel screen and integrated features like a custom-designed Myspace Mobile application, Bluetooth capabilities and flash and moodlights.
"T-Mobile's customers will be inspired by the LX's gorgeous screen, slimmed-down design and enhanced messaging features, making it the most desirable and highly anticipated device of the season," said Jeff Hopper, Vice President of Marketing, T-Mobile USA, Inc. in a statement to the press.
"Debuting the Sidekick LX and celebrating its launch in Hollywood is a natural fit given the Sidekick's roots in entertainment, music and pop."
The Associated Press also said in an earlier report that the Sidekick LX will be the first phone in its product family to allow text messages with photos.
The Sidekick LX is available starting today for existing T-Mobile customers, and widely available on October 24th at T-Mobile locations and online.
