The US online video advertising market is projected by eMarketer (News - Alert) to grow from US$775 million in 2007 to US$4.3 billion by 2011. UK's first video advertising network UtargetTV was launched in June 2006 and has now grown to more than 125 sites and delivered 9.6 million video ads in August 2007 including major TV-advertiser brands such as Coke, Halifax, Shell and Smirnoff.

Suranga Chandratillake, founder and CEO of blinkx said that they are leading the way in developing options for content owners to monetise and manage their output.
