Communications ASP magazine (soon to be renamed Communications Outsourcing magazine) is pleased to introduce our first Service of the Year Awards, honoring excellence in distinguished enhanced services. We chose our winners based on the many applications we received through our Web site, as well as our general knowledge of unique communications services announced during the 2001 calendar year. Many of the services awarded have been honored in the pages of TMCs other print publications or on our Web site.

It was difficult to narrow down our choices to the winners listed below, but we decided to honor innovative services that may be offered on a hosted basis, or as part of a hosted communications solution. The companies that have rolled out these services are the leaders in the communications ASP space, and make prime partners for service providers looking to add value to their enhanced service offerings, or equipment vendors that want to bundle ready to roll out services with their platform offerings.
