CompUSA Call Center Services Becomes Telvista
The Telvista Company, a
subsidiary of CompUSA Inc., formerly known as CompUSA Call Center
Services, has been acquired, under a stock purchase agreement, by
Technology & Internet Holding Co., held jointly by Telmex (NYSE:TMX),
America Movil, (NYSE:AMX) and Grupo Carso. Telvista will remain
headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
"Call Center Services has evolved as a successful CompUSA business
unit and a full-service provider in the call center industry," said
Hal Compton, President and CEO of CompUSA. "This is the next step in
fueling their growth and success. We look forward to an ongoing
relationship with Telvista, as both a client and a business partner."
Blake Wolff, who built the business from its inception in 1997 to its
current status as an innovative leader in the teleservices industry, will
serve as president and CEO. "As Telvista we will accelerate
development of innovative services that deliver significant value to our
customers and business partners," said Wolff. "We are a new
company whose sole focus is delivering creative customer contact
solutions, utilizing the same management team and operating dynamics that
our clients have come to trust."
Telvista is a full-service solutions provider delivering contact center
support, technology solutions and customer interaction business
consulting. The management team has extensive experience in teleservices
and customer relationship management. Current clients include leading
computer hardware manufacturers, software publishers, Internet service
providers, telecom companies, wireless access businesses,
insurance/warranty companies, and retailers.
