BroadSoft Expands To Asia-Pacific With Fujitsu
Agreement
BroadSoft, Inc., a provider of
voice applications and servers, announced it is expanding its global reach
to the service providers in the Asia-Pacific region through a strategic
agreement with Singapore-based Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd, an international
telecommunications solutions providers.
Under this agreement, Fujitsu Asia will resell BroadSoft's flagship
product BroadWorks throughout the Asia-Pacific region as well as provide
system integration, technical support, and total network deployment support.
Fujitsu Asia will offer BroadWorks as a key component of their
next-generation network solution suite, delivering a rich portfolio of
enhanced voice services to its large service provider installed base in
Asia-Pacific region. Fujitsu Asia will also build and staff a BroadWorks
center of excellence in Singapore.

Fujitsu Asia is a major business and engineering hub for the Fujitsu
telecommunications switching business in the Asia-Pacific region. Fujitsu's
Fetex-150 central office switching system is one of the most popular systems
being deployed by major public telephone operators in the region.
Fujitsu Asia has established a large software R&D center specializing
in developing features for Fetex-150 switching system and other voice, data
and mobile solutions. Fujitsu Asia is also a major IP Network Integrator
offering best-of-breed products and services to customers in the region.
Converged voice and data network solutions that are available include IP
telephony, multi-modal conferencing, unified messaging, and voice
recognition systems.
