Precise Biometrics has announced that Good Technology (News - Alert) has introduced its Good Vault app, which can be used with Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo Smart Card & Fingerprint Reader for the iPhone (News - Alert).
Tactivo is a smart card and fingerprint sensor created for the iPhone, providing unprecedented strong authentication options in a convenient smart casing. Tactivo works with smart card and fingerprint recognition deployed separately or combined. Created as a sleek smart case, Tactivo provides access to the iPhone buttons and connectors.
It also provides the ability to charge and synchronize the phone without removing the case.
Good selected Tactivo for Good Vault because of its sleek design and ease of use. Maintaining the Apple (News - Alert) aesthetic and adding minimally to the device footprint and weight, the company provides a smart card reader and fingerprint sensor to the iOS devices in the form of a casing.
Apart from this, it also allows users to charge and synchronize the device without having to remove Tactivo.
“As one of the leading providers of secure e-mail, Good understands the requirements and needs of users, from the technology behind the best solutions to how to make it easy and convenient,” said Thomas Marschall, president and CEO at Precise Biometrics. “Good’s choice of Tactivo for smart card authentication to Good Vault underscores the many possibilities of Tactivo. Its user-centric design, combined with its integration capabilities for virtually any iOS app, makes it the clear choice for industry leaders like Good.”
Recently, Intercede developed the new MyID CardChecker App, which is compatible with Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo smart card and fingerprint reader for the iPhone and iPad. Companies can check and authenticate a smart card from the smartphone or tablet without an Internet connection, with the MyID CardChecker app and the data encoded in the device.
