Revolutionary Concepts, a development stage company specializing in the design and development of the “EyeTalk Communicator,” has received a U.S. Patent for features related to new smart technologies.
According to officials, the new patent will augment the capabilities of the company’s smart camera platform, optimizing the EyeTalk Communicator for wireless applications.
The Eye Talk Communicator serves as an entry management system and allows users to remotely and interactively monitor an IP camera via two-way communication and control, while using a personal communication device.
“The Patent details the use of a system with the capability of interfacing with multiple peripheral devices independently or simultaneously,” said Ronald Carter, president and CEO at Revolutionary Concepts. “This claim defines a system with very versatile capabilities and use. As an entry management system for residential and commercial use, the system has the capability to alert multiple end users activating a graphical user interface with designated smart devices.”
The patent describes biometric capabilities that can be used to identify and authenticate personnel approaching the system.
The EyeTalk Communicator’s biometric capabilities ensures that the smart camera technology will read physical characteristics including finger scans, voice recognition, iris scan, physical stature and so on.
The technology for which the patent has been awarded helps in recording and archiving events. The recorded data can also be seamlessly accessed using peripheral smart devices or directly from PC hardware.
Smart devices used in the wireless industry can leverage this technology, said officials.
Biometric identification is most suitable for extremely sensitive environments to control entry management and security.
The EyeTalk Communicator has other uses besides security and authentication. The device can be used in medical applications, sporting components and infant care technology.
“The EyeTalk Communicator’s versatility and practical integration into the rapidly expanding smart evolution is clearly protected and substantiated by the recent patent award,” added Carter. “The EyeTalk Communicator will prove to be a substantial upgrade in entry management and a very efficient and effective use of smart capabilities. I am confident our Communicator will be a more effective method of monitoring entry management and as dependable, or more so, than the use of a security guard.”
Revolutionary Concepts signed a letter of intent to enter into an acquisition agreement with Security Solutions and Management (SSM) of Charlotte, NC in December 2011.
