IdentiPHI, an enterprise security solutions and services provider, has announced that some of the world’s largest corporations have selected IdentiPHI SAFsolution Enterprise Edition 5 software to biometrically secure their global enterprises.
The SAFsolution 5 offers robust architecture that allows unparalleled scalability and configuration support for biometric and smart card authentication deployments. As a result, it is uniquely suited for supporting large multi-site or multi-national organizations.
Although the software will be widely available early next month, IdentiPHI has initial SAFsolution deployments underway at a number of Fortune 100 companies, including a leading North American wireless and telephony company, a top pharmaceutical company, one of the world’s largest banks, one of the world’s largest tire manufacturers, and a large bottling company.
“The newest customers represent a huge leap forward for IdentiPHI in large-scale enterprise implementations, far surpassing our largest pre-SAFsolution 5 deployments,” said IdentiPHI CEO Steve Oyer.
“These customers have five to twenty times the number of users than previous implementations, and are indicative of the importance and acceptance of biometric solutions we are seeing in larger organizations. While some of the initial deployments could reach all the way up to 60,000 seats, they may eventually scale much larger for each company.”
Designed on the SAFsolution platform, the IndentiPHI purpose-built SAFsolution 5 provides advanced and intuitive administration of enterprise-wide biometric security and authentication. The solution tightly integrates with Microsoft (News
) Windows Active Directory and supports the market’s broadest range of authentication methods.
IndentiPHI takes the position that no software on the market offers the level of enterprise integration and scalability, granular administration, usability and broad device support necessary to meet market demands.
SAFsolution 5 is designed to enable organizations to dramatically improve security by replacing cumbersome passwords with biometric authentication – the most reliable and convenient form of security available today.
“IdentiPHI SAFsolution 5 delivers a high level of flexibility and choice that enables enterprise customers to meet their specific security requirements and corporate posture,” commented IdentiPHI CTO Mark Norwalk.
“The demand for stronger authentication and identity assurance continues to grow, with strong evidence found in industry data that over 17 million laptops with built-in fingerprint readers have been sold world-wide. Companies are purchasing these enterprise-class laptops and notebooks to provide greater security and access control.”
“We have advanced the SAFsolution product to easily meet the demands and scalability of larger enterprises, giving IdentiPHI a unique competitive advantage in an exploding market,” Norwalk added.
In today’s market, the larger the enterprise, the greater the risk of security threats for the company. As a result, these organizations must turn to partners, such as IdentiPHI to provide the solutions they need to not only protect their information, but also the information of their customers. Such critical elements in the marketplace will not go away, which virtually guarantees increased demand for IdentiPHI solutions.
