Voxeo ( News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of premise and hosted Interactive Voice Response (IVR ) systems, and VoiceVerified ( News - Alert)., a provider of voice biometric verification technology and services, have announced a partnership to deliver VoiceVerified's voice authentication technology to new and existing customers using Voxeo's hosted IVR service.
John Amein, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Voxeo, said, “Voxeo's goal is to make telephony simpler for our customers. Using voice as a security method is a great way to make life easier for customers and callers alike. We're pleased that VoiceVerified chose Voxeo to make complex, cutting-edge technology easily accessible to anyone who wants to deploy voice biometrics. We see our partnership as just the beginning for this innovative technology.”
With voice authentication capabilities, companies can improve the caller experience by streamlining the login process and increasing security. This eliminates the need for PINs and passwords and makes use of an individual voice.
When a user calls an application that has enabled VoiceVerified's solution, they will be asked to repeat five randomly generated numbers. To authenticate the identity of the user, VoiceVerified's technology compares the user's spoken response to a stored voiceprint.
Both VoiceVerified and Voxeo are currently working together with several customers in the utility and financial services industries.
