General Micro Systems Announces PMC AGP Video Module
General MicroSystems has announced Angelo, a PMC (PCI Mezzanine
Card) AGP video graphics card for VMEbus and CompactPCI baseboards. Based on
Intel's 740 graphics accelerator, Angelo features 8 Mb of high-speed video
memory that enables it to deliver ultra-high resolutions of up to 1600 x
1200 at 32 bits per pixel. The modules also employs a dual-bus architecture
that offloads the PCI bus of graphics and video traffic and enables Angelo

Trillium Announces Availability of SS7 Over IP Software
Trillium Digital Systems announced the availability of an SS7 over IP (SIGNTRAN)
software solution. SIGNTRAN is a set of IETF-defined protocol standards
created to accelerate the convergence of communications networks by bridging
the traditional PSTN and next-gen IP-based telephony networks. SIGTRAN

Inter-Tel has announced the production release of the InterPrise Directory
Server, a Java-based software application that acts as a
"controller" for VoIP calls within a network of Inter-Tel

Seven European Carriers Connect To ITXC Super PoP
ITXC reported that seven European carriers have connected to its new
London Super PoP which opened at the end of May. The current connections
between ITXC's carrier customers and the Super PoP are cable of handling up
to 720 simultaneous phone calls. The Super PoP has capacity for nearly 3,000
simultaneous calls and can rapidly be expanded. The Super PoP is already
operating at a run rate of over five million minutes per month.
