Interactive Intelligence Revolutionizes System Monitoring with Interaction Monitor

Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of unified IP business communications solutions, has announced the release of a new communications system monitoring product, Interaction Monitor. 

This new add-on product has been introduced into the company’s contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony solutions. Interaction Monitor is designed to help customers improve operational efficiencies and increase reliability.

 
These benefits are realized through the new solution as it enables customers to remotely monitor and troubleshoot Interactive Intelligence (News - Alert) software, hardware and peripheral devices from a single location and interface.

“We place a lot of importance on tools that guarantee reliable service, and Interaction Monitorhas proven to be just such a tool,” said Peter Williams, system administrator for Charlotte, NC-based Red Ventures, in a Monday statement. Red Ventures has been an Interactive Intelligence customer since 2003.

“The Interaction Monitor console and interface are so intuitive and easy to use -- we literally had the product installed and monitoring within minutes. Right away it began alerting us to a few spans being reset due to errors from our telco, which our old monitoring software missed because it could only perform periodic time checks. This immediate return on investment was a very pleasant surprise,” added Williams.

IT departments will have access to Interaction Monitor to keep track of the health of their purchased systems and peripherals. Interactive Intelligence value-added resellers and Interactive Intelligence support staff will offer the solution as part of the company’s managed services and communications as a service (CaaS) offerings.

Interaction Monitor delivers user authentication that restricts access to the monitoring of pre-selected devices. These devices include Interactive Intelligence’s Interaction Center Platform, Interaction Gateway (News - Alert), Interaction SIP Proxy and Interaction Media Server, as well as third party gateways and generic devices.

With Interaction Monitor, IT managers can enjoy a single client interface for remote system monitoring of errors, warnings and failures, along with automated log retrieval. Alerts are sent to administrators though e-mail based on event criticality. The solution can also send alerts via the Web.

Interaction Monitor is available immediately through the Interactive Intelligence global channel of more than 300 value-added resellers.

Once again, Interactive Intelligence has delivered an application that extends the value of its solution for client companies. In doing so, the company is helping to secure its place in the market and its position as a primary provider for customers throughout the world.

As software providers continue to compete for fewer customer dollars, the intensity in the marketplace grows. It is those providers who are able to enhance the value of their solution that will create loyal customers and emerge the winners over the long term.
