Verizon FiOS1 in New Jersey to Air More Than 30 New Jersey State High School Winter Playoff and Championship GamesNEWARK, N.J., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Fans of New Jersey high school sports will be able to watch the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association state boys and girls Tournament of Champions in basketball, wrestling -- and for the first time, the state hockey championships - exclusively on FiOS1 on Verizon's FiOS TV service. Through Verizon's partnership with the Star Ledger/NJ.com, FiOS1 Channel 1 will air more than 30 high school playoff and championship games, starting with boys basketball NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 First Round Union at Elizabeth on March 1 at 7:30 p.m. Games will air Monday through Sunday throughout March. All FiOS1 viewers in central and northern New Jersey will have access to the programming. "Customers need only to tune into Verizon's FiOS1 to find the best New Jersey high school sports programming," said Orlando Martinez, FiOS1's director of local sports programming.
