Fon Unveils its New Brand at the Mobile World Congress
MADRID & BARCELONA, Spain --(Business Wire)--
Fon, the world's largest WiFi (News - Alert) network, today unveiled a new logo and
brand identity. The company collaborated with Interbrand, one of the
world's foremost branding agencies, to create a brand that reflects the
company's position as a proven solution for WiFi for individuals,
businesses and telcos. The new brand can be seen this week at Fon's
Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) booth (8.1G8) and will be launched worldwide in
Alex Puregger, COO, Fon, said:

The branding project involved the design of Fon's visual and verbal
identities, the application of the brand in digital environments and the
creation of a co-branding strategy. The result is a new brand look,
championed by a balloon-shaped WiFi logo that represents Fon's value
proposition of getting WiFi anywhere in the world.
The new look is fun, contemporary and technological, with a verbal
style, that is powerful yet simple, just like Fon's WiFi itself.
Fon was founded in February 2006 by serial entrepreneur Martin Varsavsky
with the goal of blanketing the world with WiFi. Today the company is a
global WiFi leader with over 7 million hotspots in more than 100
