Since 2 years, company has been working with Macquarie University for rolling out Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) across many of its departments and integrating the solution with multiple back-end systems. As per the deal, InsightfulCRM will roll out a campus-wide CRM solution for Macquarie University using its SugarCRM technology, that grows open-source software with enterprise service and support. As per InsightfulCRM, that deal is the huge single education deal signed with SugarCRM globally. Macquarie University SugarCRM chief information officer, Marc Bailey, stated that, deal has enabled the university to better manage stakeholder relationships and increase its focus on student experience and retention in a highly competitive education sector. When we looked at how to introduce customer relationship management ideas and technology in a higher-ed context, we realised that interaction and adaptability matter. Although there are off-the-shelf solutions to educational CRM, there is a multiplicity of integration targets where generic approaches just don t fit, stated by Bailey.
