EVPL Silver offers point-to-point digital connectivity with standard Ethernet interfaces of 10/100/1000 Mbps and scalable throughput of 1Mbps through a full Gigabit. Frontier's Wholesale Channel offers EVPL Silver in 23 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

"Wholesale clients want product offerings with standardized pricing, availability maps, and specific ordering and implementation criteria similar to tariffed offerings, but with more flexibility within a contract," said Stephen LeVan, Senior vice president, Commercial Sales. "Ethernet is the preferred method for data transport and we are delivering what carrier customers want and need: a cost-effective, viable option to traditional TDM access and legacy Fast Packet technologies." LeVan added that future Wholesale Ethernet releases will include multipoint-to-multipoint capabilities, Class of Service, Internet access, regional interconnects, network performance reporting and service level agreements. He noted, "Our product allows Frontier to remotely increase a customer's bandwidth via software, which simplifies our operations, reduces costs and improves the customer's experience.

"Frontier is investing heavily in network expansion in all of its markets," continued LeVan. "EVPL Silver is part of a comprehensive and robust wholesale portfolio that will be available over the next 18 months to larger businesses." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
