JouleX Gears Up for Cisco Live London 2013


ATLANTA, Jan. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- JouleX, a leading innovator in enterprise energy management systems for data centers, distributed office environments, and facilities, today announced its schedule of planned activities for Cisco Live London 2013, January 28 to February 1, 2013, at the ICC London ExCel. In response to the tremendous success of the JouleX for EnergyWise solution, part of the Cisco EnergyWise Fast-Start program, JouleX will be showcasing this technology as part of the entire JouleX Energy Manager(TM) platform. JouleX will be featured throughout the Cisco Live World of Solutions, where the JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) platform will once again provide real-time monitoring of the entire Cisco Live network. JouleX will also be showcased as a featured partner with other participating vendors at the event.

JouleX will again monitor this year's Cisco Live network, giving attendees a glimpse into how energy is actually used in their own IT operations.

-- JouleX Chief Architect and Co-founder Josef Brunner will deliver 10-minute sessions (CEUPOE-1001) "Lowering TCO and Energy Costs with the JouleX for EnergyWise Fast-Start Program" on Tuesday, January 29, at 12:45 PM and 16:05 PM; on Wednesday, January 30, at 10:40 AM and 13:05 PM; and Thursday, January 31, at 12:45 PM and 16:00 PM.

-- Presentations the newest features of the JouleX Energy Manager will occur every 30 minutes at the JouleX Gold Exhibitors Stand, G2, in the World of Solutions.

-- JouleX will also be demonstrating in the EnergyWise and UPoE Pavilion at stand EW1, showcasing how JEM provides a powerful dashboard for managing energy, leveraging EnergyWise to reduce energy across a campus environment.

-- JouleX will also be on display in the World of Solutions with partners Schneider Electric (stand P6), CommScope (stand G16) and Raritan (stand EW5).

JouleX leverages the Cisco EnergyWise architecture to extend energy monitoring and management from the network core to the edge--taking energy management beyond the switch ports and traditional PCs, to the entire IT infrastructure and data centers. JouleX supports Cisco advanced features such as a deep-sleep VoIP function, power leveling and capping for the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), and support for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Plus and Virtual Desktop infrastructure. The JouleX for EnergyWise solution is currently available on the Cisco global pricelist as part of the EnergyWise Fast-Start program, a free option with the purchase of Cisco Catalyst 3K and 4K switches. This version of the JouleX Energy Manager leverages the Cisco EnergyWise protocol to provide full monitoring, analysis, and control of the energy consumption and utilization of the Cisco EnergyWise infrastructure from switches and routers to wireless access points to Voice over IP (VoIP) telephones.
