Aruba Networks' solution equips Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates, with wireless Internet services

Jan 10, 2013 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Kempinski Hotel at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai has partnered with Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) to provide upgraded wireless network access to meet the growing demand for secure and high speed wireless Internet access by hotel guests.

Aruba Networks has upgraded the legacy network at the luxurious alpine-themed retreat to the latest 802.11n technology to deliver the network requirements of TODAY's business and leisure travellers who demand reliable connectivity for high bandwidth intensive applications. Combining comfort with convenience, the upgrade will enable the Kempinski hotel to increase the range of wireless services offered to include features such as IPTV, complimentary Internet access in suites and enhanced guest services.

Kempinski Hotel at Mall of the Emirates is one of the Kempinski group's flagship properties, combining shopping, entertainment and dining options with 5-star accommodations, including luxury ski chalets. Kempinski selected Aruba Networks to ensure that its IT team could incorporate future-proof options to not only centrally manage and configure all access points within one location, but also to ensure efficient management of both hotel guest and staff wireless connectivity demands.

The partnership adds the Kempinski Hotels group to Aruba's growing portfolio of customers in the Middle East and further demonstrates the company's strength in providing mobility solutions and wireless Internet connectivity at work and in leisure environments. The 802.11n solution installed at Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates comprises more than 400 wall-mounted units of multi-service AP93Hs and 63 AP105 access points to provide reliable wireless connectivity in high traffic areas such as corridors and meeting rooms, as well as Aruba's 6000 Mobility Controllers for network scalability, security and access management.

Created in 1897, Kempinski Hotels is Europe's oldest luxury hotel group. Kempinski now comprises a portfolio of 73 five-star hotels in 31 countries and continues to add new properties in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Aruba Networks is a provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. The company's Mobile Virtual Enterprise architecture unifies wired and wireless network infrastructures into one seamless access solution for corporate headquarters, mobile business professionals, remote workers and guests. This unified approach to access networks enables IT organizations and users to securely address the Bring Your Own Device phenomenon, dramatically improving productivity and lowering capital and operational costs.
