Germany : T-Systems bags EADS contract [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) EADS has chosen the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary- T-Systems for a term of six years, to operate around 150,000 PC workstations, including the Airbus branches in Toulouse (France), Filton (UK), Broughton (UK), Madrid (Spain) and Hamburg as well as sites of the Group's subsidiaries Cassidian, Astrium and Eurocopter.
Deutsche Telekom Board Member Reinhard Clemens said, The major deal from EADS will reinforce our position in the European ICT market. It also shows that our international growth is on course for success.
EADS is looking for a standardized IT infrastructure, which will help the firm to cut costs along with bolstering its competitive standing. EADS chose the T Systems, because of its proven experience in the management of workstation computers in a pan-European company. The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary's Spanish staff will perform the remote maintenance service.
