BRIEF: Sunflower warns that its TV stations may be pulled from satellite provider's lineup

Dec 18, 2012 (The Wichita Eagle - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Sunflower Broadcasting said Tuesday its TV stations may be pulled from satellite provider Dish Network's lineup because a new broadcasting agreement has not been reached.

Sunflower said in a news release that the broadcast agreement covers its local CBS-affiliate, KWCH, Channel 12, and KSCW, cable Channel 5, an affiliate of the CW Network.

The current agreement, it said, is set to expire at 11 p.m. Thursday.

"Sunflower Broadcasting ... continues to work hard with DISH Network to come to a fair and market based agreement," Sunflower said in the release.

Sunflower noted in the release that its stations are broadcast on other cable and satellite providers, and that its stations signals are available over the air.
