Atos signs IT infrastructure contract with NYOGOC


Nov 21, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Atos, an IT services company, has signed the IT contract with the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee, or NYOGOC, to design, build and operate the IT infrastructure and systems for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China's Jiangsu province.



Under this new contract, Atos will work with NYOGOC as its IT partner to support NYOGOC over the next two years for the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games as chief IT integrator, providing effective project management focusing on risk management, optimized technical solutions and resource management to the Games.

Atos will be responsible in defining the strategy and detailed process & planning for Games IT Integration and Operation; provide PMO (Project Management Office) services to ensure efficient project management to NYOGOC; and leverage the IT resources from Nanjing - the software city, by recruiting and partnering with local companies to provide IT services to NYOGOC.


Herbie Leung, CEO of Atos in APAC quoted that Atos will bring its comprehensive games management experiences to Nanjing 2014. "With the know-how extracted from all the previous games, he feels confident that Atos can deliver a stable, accurate, timely and on-budget Youth Olympic Games in 2014. Atos is also committed in working together with NYOGOC and all walks of life in Nanjing to contribute in the government's vision to transform Nanjing into a world famous software city and served its part to create a brighter future for Nanjing," said Leung.
