Libelium and Telefónica Bring M2M Technology to Smart Cities


ZARAGOZA, Spain & REDWOOD CITY, Calif. --(Business Wire)--

Libelium, a wireless sensor networks platform provider for Smart Cities solutions, has signed an agreement with Telefónica (News - Alert), one of the world's largest telecommunications groups, to include Libelium's Waspmote Plug & Sense!™ wireless sensors in the Smart Cities portfolio of Telefónica.



Telefónica Smart Cities customers will be able to choose Libelium sensors from the Telefónica portfolio as part of their Smart Cities portfolio. Initial product focus areas include 27 different Smart Cities applications, including traffic management, water management, security, environment and agriculture monitoring.
