Primus Telecommunications Group Q3 net loss increases


Nov 13, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Primus Telecommunications Group, an integrated facilities-based communications services provider, has reported net loss attributable to the company of $25.04 million, or $1.81 loss per share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, compared to net loss attributable to the company of $10.01 million, or $0.73 loss per share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.



Net revenue for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 was $63.91 million, compared to $74.31 million for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011.

Net income attributable to the company for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $36.96 million, or $2.68 per share, compared to net loss attributable to the company of $35.61 million, or $2.79 loss per share, for the same period ended September 30, 2011.


Net revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $197.3 million, compared to $221.5 million for the same period ended September 30, 2011.

Peter Aquino, chairman and CEO, stated, "Our third quarter results demonstrated continued consistency and operational execution in our two primary segments: 'pure play' data centers, now branded 'BLACKIRON Data,' and North America Telecom.
