In new promotion, Zambia's Zamtel gives away flats [Bikya Masr (Egypt)]

(Bikya Masr (Egypt) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ADDIS ABABA: Zambia's leading telecom operator Zamtel has announced a ZMK 4.8 billion promotion that will include school fees, agricultural input and livestock as well as an entire block of new flats as the grand prize.

Users are excited about the new promotions, which Zamtel believes will position itself as the top mobile operator in the country for the near future.

The promotion, dubbed Double Tobela, will also see the company give away 3,000 bags of fertilizer, 850 bicycles, 40 heads of cattle and other prizes to winners.

CMO Evans Muhanga said Zamtel "would be giving away a newly built block of flats as the grand prize." He continued to say that the second price "would be an opportunity for 100 customers in primary, secondary and tertiary education to win fees of up to ZMK 20 million each for one year." Muhanga added that under the regional categories, "prizes would go to different provinces with different needs … [and] the combined total value of the two promotions is ZMK 4.8 billion, adding that the national category would account for ZMK 4 billion and regions for the remaining ZMK 811 million." Zamtel has also awarded a luxury bus to the winner of a draw that is part of its More Money in Your Pockets game show, which runs through December 31 this year.
