BRIEF: Illinois, White Sox join for cross-promotional relationship

Illinois and the Chicago White Sox have linked together for a cross-promotional relationship, which will allow Illini fans to receive special offers to selected games, suites, group sales and patio parties.
They also will be invited to Illini Day on June 1, when fans will participate in a pregame parade.
"We are very excited to announce our relationship with the White Sox," Illinois athletic director Mike Thomas said in a statement. "We feel this will increase Fighting Illini exposure in Chicago, and allow some great opportunities for fans to experience exciting Major League baseball atU.S. Cellular Field."
The White Sox will promote Illinois athletics and special incentives to their fans.
"This is among the first of several cross-promotional relationships coming from the Illini and organizations in Chicago," Thomas said.
